The two-day basic training Respiratory Protection (independent) is intended for employees working at a (petro) chemical company site who should be able to use ambient air independent respiratory protection with a respiratory regulator.
In this training, the participant will learn which respiratory protection means there are, how the breathing apparatus work and how this allows safe work.
Important: For participation in SSVV Training Guide (SOG) exams, participants must possess a valid certificate Basic Safety VCA or VOL VCA.
This training consists of a theoretical and a practical part:
- Respiratory protection in general
- Dependent respiratory protection (filter masks)
- Independent respiratory protection means
- Hose aparatus
- Selection of respiratory protection means
- Working in confined spaces
- Control and daily maintenance
- Safety measures
- Safe use and connection of the equipment
- Various practical exercises on the breathing training track
This basic course Respiratory Protection (independent) consists of two days of instruction from 08:00 to 16:00 in groups of 8 to 10 participants.
The first three sessions (dayparts) theory and practical instruction will be mixed. The SOG exam, which also consists of a theoretical and a practical part, is held during the fourth session.
With sufficient result, the participant receives a certificate SSVV Training Guide Working Safely with Independent Respiratory Protection. The certificate is valid for 3 years.
The exam ‘Working with Independent Respiratory Protection’ can be taken only in the Dutch language. Other languages are available on request, so please contact us about the possibilities.
The training is provided at the training site of DELTA. Our location fully meets the requirements for the practical exam.
Conditions for participation
The participants of this course must be at least 18 years and have no limiting facial hair. A statement must be shown indicating that the participant is medically fit for working with Respiratory protection – equipment.
To participate in the training guide SSVV (SOG) exam of this course, participants must be in possession of a valid certificate Basic Safety VCA or VOL VCA.
