Bedrijfshulpverlening (BHV) – basis

FIXED price: You record the date of your training, payment of the course must be done immediately. In case of moving or canceling the training, the entire course fee will be charged again in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions. The choice for ‘FIXED’ gives you a considerable discount on our existing prices.

FLEX price: You opt for flexibility. You can move free of charge once, rescheduling a second time is possible at 50% of the course price. Resistance is allowed no later than 5 working days before the start date course in accordance with the general Terms and Conditions. Payment for companies 30 days after receipt of invoice. With ‘FLEX’ you choose extra service, for the normal price.

The 2-day basic course “Emergency Response Officer” (ERO, in Dutch BHV) trains you to become an Emergency Response Officer. This course is for people that want to become the aid worker at their workplace.
In these two days the participants are trained in all the tasks involved in being an aid worker.
These are i.a evacuation, aftercare, fire control and communication during an incident.    

Aims and objectives

Provide knowledge and skills so the participants are able to act as a ERO-er. 

Content training

During the ERO course some of the following topics regarding life-saving, fire control and evacuation are covered.  

Part 1: Life-saving 

  • General rules for the provision of first-aid (5 important points) 
  • Emergency transport hold “Rauket” 
  • Vital functions
  • Rescue breathing and CPR (for adults) 
  • Use of AED 
  • Suffocation and poisoning 
  • Shock 
  • External (severe) bleeding and how to use bandage 
  • Local injury (burns, fractions, eye injuries) 

Part 2: Communication, fire control and evacuation.  

  • Tasks of the aid worker 
  • Communication during a incident 
  • Fire control (fire three-and pentagon, fire stages, small fire extinguishers) 
  • Evacuations 
  • Importance of aftercare 

Duration

The open enrolment training consists of 2 consecutive days of instruction from 8 am. till 4 pm. The group normally consists of about 12 participants. The practical as well as the theoretical part of the course will be concluded with an exam.
For groups and in-company trainings the times and course formats can be adapted (evenings and weekends are also an option).  

Certificate

Each part of the course will be followed by an exam, consisting of a theoretical and a practical part. Participants who are in the possession of a valid First Aid certificate with a note of CPR get relief for the “’life-saving’’ part (they do not have to attend this part of the course).
Participants who pass receive the DELTA certificate according to NIBHV-standard or, on request, the NIBHV certificate. These certificates are valid for one year.  

Language

The training is conducted in the Dutch language. On request we can organize the training in English or another language.  

Location

All ERO instructions can be performed at DELTA or at your location. There is an advantage of coming to DELTA, in particular the “’Fire control’’ part can be trained more extensive and realistically.
For a customized ERO training we are very willing to come to your company.  

Conditions for participation

For this instruction there are no requirements concerning preliminary training of the participants.  

Price

The price stated in the upper right corner of this page is including training materials, the DELTA certificate and lunch/coffee/tea.
For the NIBHV exam a premium will be charged. All prices are excluding 21% VAT.
